You’re right about the 1000 years being in the past (imo). Have you considered Mt St Michel as the place where the enemy was sealed (Revelation 20:1-3)?
Its name used to be “The Tomb.” It has a statue of Michael with his foot on the serpent and a chain in his hand. It also has a place called “The Devil’s Dungeon.”
I haven’t found anything on the internet about it being the cap of “the bottomless pit,” but I think it’s a decent possibility. Perhaps you can find out more. Thanks!
